Malta's mains water is treated and supplied for drinking, but its taste can vary depending on the source and mineral content. An Aquarius Direct water filter can vastly improve taste and reduce contaminants in the water, such as chlorine.
For most homes it's the AD300S: a 0.1 micron, 4-stage filter that treats 60,500 litres and reduces limescale in hard water areas. The AD300 and AD200 are 3-stage filters, and the AD18 is ideal for 1-2 people. Compare them here.
The Aquarius Direct filter is connected directly to the main cold-water supply, usually under the kitchen sink. It removes impurities to provide clean and great-tasting water straight from your tap.
No. Our filters need no electricity and work with your existing tap, so you can use filtered water for drinking, cooking and washing dishes. If you prefer a separate tap, we can provide one on request.
They reduce chlorine, unpleasant tastes and odours, chemicals, heavy metals, sediment and microplastics. The AD300S also reduces the build-up of limescale in hard water areas.
It depends on the model: AD18 every 12 months, AD200 every 18 months, and AD300 and AD300S every 18 to 24 months.
